Cookie Policy

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites. They help make the website work more efficiently and enable certain features.

How We Use Cookies

Bold Bloom uses cookies in the categories described below. You can adjust your cookie preferences at any time via our cookie banner.

1. Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled. The legal basis is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG.

Cookie Purpose Duration Type
boldbloom_session Session management and authentication Session (2 hours) Essential
XSRF-TOKEN Protection against cross-site request forgery attacks Session (2 hours) Essential
cookie_consent Stores your cookie preferences 1 year Essential
locale Stores your preferred language 1 year Essential
mood_check_participant_<id> Set only when you open a mood check through a shared link or QR code. Holds a random value with no personal reference, so the same answer is not counted twice by accident. It is scoped to that one mood check and is stored only as a hash. 1 year Essential

2. Analytics

Bold Bloom sets no analytics cookies and embeds no third-party analytics services (in particular no Google Analytics). Reach measurement runs exclusively on our own servers and stores nothing on your device: no cookies, no local storage, no session storage. Visits are stitched server-side using a daily-rotating, non-reversible checksum; IP addresses are never stored.

Because reach measurement does not access any information on your device, § 25 TDDDG does not apply to it. The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the data-minimising evaluation and needs-based development of our publicly accessible website.

We nevertheless honour an explicit rejection of the "Analytics" category in the cookie banner as well as the browser signals "Do Not Track" and "Global Privacy Control". In those cases no reach measurement takes place.

3. Functional Cookies

This category covers optional convenience cookies or comparable technologies, for example to store individual user-interface preferences.

Bold Bloom does not currently use any functional cookies or comparable technologies. The category is provided in the cookie banner for possible future features. Should functional cookies or comparable technologies be used in future, this will only happen with your prior consent under § 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Cookie Preferences and Withdrawal

Where you have consented to the use of non-essential cookies or comparable technologies, you can withdraw or change your consent at any time with effect for the future via the privacy settings in the cookie banner.

You can also delete cookies or restrict their storage through your browser settings. Please note that individual features of the website or platform may be limited as a result.
